How to keep running into your 80s

What we're here to tell you, however, is that you don’t need to let age get in the way of your running dreams. In fact, you could be running the best stats of your life well into your senior years.

Take John Shaw, for example, who, at 63 years of age, and with a long-standing calf injury, recently broke a world record that had stood for 20 years, and went on to achieve a single age world record at the recent Gold Coast Airport Marathon, completing the course in an incredible 2 hours 45 minutes. That’s right: two world running records under his belt already this year – and he’s in his mid 60s.

John, like hundreds of other runners around the world, had invested in a Bionic Runner, which not only allowed him to train harder and run faster, but also allowed him to maintain his running fitness through injury.

Also like John, Nicole complements her running training with sessions on the Bionic Runner.

"I use the Bionic Runner now foremost to strengthen my core, and because I really enjoy running on it," says Nicole. "It’s a fantastic way to improve my condition – physically and mentally."
